A masterfully directed movie with a powerful message.
This movie is about an attack on a US compound in Saudi Arabia and the FBI’s investigation of who did it.
It’s about 4 people trying to do their best to find the people responsible in a world where they are not wanted by either side.
But moreso it is about people…Americans….Saudis….and the terrorists who we hate and hate us in return.
The acting is good. The humor is light. The story is bold.
From the very beginning we are given a background of the world we are about to be taken into.
The director doesn’t hide anything from us….he shows us both sides….
In actuality there are at least 4 sides in this movie….there is our govt….the saudi govt…the terrorists….
and the people in search of the truth.
I hope this movie does well…..it is sold as an action movie but it is so much more than that.
It’s a peak behind the scenes of our current struggle in the world.

Resident Evil : Extinction
Went on Friday to view the latest and hopefully last in this series.
It’s not that i don’t like sequels but at some point you gotta finish things.
This series started off with a bang with the original Resident Evil….
Then it floundered with Resident Evil 2….
And now….we bring everyone back for Extinction.
The movie has an ok plot.
Umbrella scientists believe Alice’s blood may hold the cure for the T-Cell zombie outbreak.
The world is in ruins. There are practically no people left.
Alice and a group of people believe they can live if they get to a safe area.
The zombies are at times cool….but most of the time are generic sun burnt and dried out.
The deaths arent anything special and it didnt seem like there was much gore.
The plot is fairly straight on and predictable.
If you enjoyed the previous movies….or at least the first one you will enjoy this.
